February 2026: The Perfect Calendar, the Brutal Cold, and the Tiny Clay Heart That Made It All Worth It

Image
A perfect February, frozen pipes, clay earrings, and a whole lot of gratitude Have you looked at a calendar this month? No, seriously. Go look. February 2026 is one of those rare months where the calendar looks like someone designed it on purpose. It starts on a Sunday, ends on a Saturday, and every single day of the week appears exactly four times. A perfect rectangle. No spillover. No awkward gaps. Just four clean weeks of organized bliss. The internet is calling it a "Perfect February," and the last time this happened was 2015. The next one won't come around until 2037. So yeah, soak it in. This is the most visually satisfying calendar page you'll see for over a decade. And honestly? As a parent navigating this chaotic, beautiful, exhausting life—I'll take any bit of perfection I can get, even if it's just a calendar. Happy Valentine's Day (From the Craft Table) Valentine's Day landed on a Saturday this year, which meant we actually had ...

Juggling Parenthood and a Startup: My Hello BUBS Adventure

Juggling Parenthood and a Startup

Hey BUBS Family,

I wanted to share a little bit about what life is like for me these days—balancing being a parent, running Hello BUBS, and diving into some side projects to keep my brain buzzing. It's a wild ride, and trust me, it's not always smooth sailing. But IAH, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Life as a Parent and Founder

Parenting is full-time. Between early morning wake-ups and bedtime stories, it's a non-stop adventure filled with love, laughter, and, let's be real, a fair bit of chaos. Add in running a startup like Hello BUBS, and things get even more interesting.

Hello BUBS started because, as a parent, I saw the need for a safe, trustworthy place for other parents to buy, sell, and swap kids' gear. It's been a labor of love, but balancing the demands of growing a startup with family life? That’s a level of multitasking.

The Balancing Act

My days are a constant juggle of calls, coding sessions, school runs, and playdates. Some days, I feel like I've got it all under control. Other days, not so much. Here’s what helps me keep the balance:

  • Time Management: My calendar is my best friend. I block out specific times for work, family, and a bit of me-time to make sure nothing gets left out.

  • Prioritizing: Not everything can be top priority. I focus on the most important tasks for the day, both for Hello BUBS and my family.

  • Staying Flexible: Kids and startups are both unpredictable. Being able to adapt and adjust plans is key.

Keeping My Mind Sharp with Side Projects

Besides Hello BUBS, I love working on side projects. These little ventures keep my mind engaged and give me a creative outlet. From small coding experiments to exploring new business ideas, these projects keep things interesting. Sure, it means late nights and early mornings, but the intellectual stimulation is totally worth it.

The Challenges

Balancing parenthood and a startup isn’t without its hurdles:

  • Time Crunch: There’s never enough time in the day. Balancing tasks without cutting into family time is a struggle.

  • Parent Guilt: It’s easy to feel guilty about not giving 100% to either role. Finding that balance is tough.

  • Exhaustion: It’s easy to get burnt out juggling so many roles. Taking time for self-care is crucial (for me it's coffee and / or meditation)

Finding Joy in the Chaos

Despite the challenges, there’s so much joy in this crazy life. Building Hello BUBS and knowing it’s helping other parents is incredibly rewarding. Seeing my kid learn and grow every day? Priceless. And the satisfaction of seeing a side project come to life? Magic 😉

Pushing the Go-Live Date

I know many of you are eagerly awaiting the launch (Apple App Store & Google Play) of the Hello BUBS app. I wanted to give you a quick update: we’ve decided to push the go-live date just a bit. There are a few key features that needed some extra attention, and I want to make sure everything is ready to rock when we launch.

I do have the web app available for anyone interested in using the platform, please just message me (info@) or (DM through Instagram)

I appreciate your patience and promise it will be worth the wait. Your support means the world to me!

A Shout-Out to Fellow Parent-Entrepreneurs (using this term for now lol)

To all the other parent-entrepreneurs out there, you’re not alone. It’s tough, but so rewarding. Lean on your community, embrace the chaos, and celebrate the small victories.

I’d love to hear from you. How do you balance being a parent and a professional? Got any tips or stories to share? Drop them in the comments...
