I Quit Being a Short-Order Cook - Here's What Happened to My Picky Eater

Image
For every parent who's ever made mac and cheese at 6 AM because it was the only 'safe' breakfast option. You know that moment when you've lovingly prepared what you thought was a "safe" meal or maybe even their favorite from last week, and your child takes one look and declares, "Eww, I don't want this"? Yeah, that moment where your heart sinks a little and you wonder if you're failing at this whole parenting thing. We've all been there. Standing in the kitchen, looking at yet another rejected plate, while everyone around us says, "It's just a phase" or "Kids won't starve themselves." And while they're technically right about picky eating being normal, here's what I've learned:   Just because something is developmentally typical doesn't mean it's not    incredibly challenging to live through as a parent. If you're the parent feeling like a short-order cook, questioning your food ch...

BUBS Update: Feedback, Changes, and the Road Ahead

Hello Hello BUBS Fam,

It’s been an exciting and busy time for the app, and I wanted to share some updates on what’s been happening behind the scenes. First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who’s been testing and providing feedback during our beta phase. Your input has been invaluable in shaping Hello BUBS into a more intuitive and user-friendly platform.

A New Look and Feel

One of the biggest changes you’ll notice is our updated user interface. We’ve moved to a more cohesive and minimal design that puts functionality and ease of use front and center. While it’s still a WIP, the major changes are already live, and we’d love to hear your thoughts. Our goal has always been to create a platform that feels seamless and enjoyable to navigate, and this UI revamp is a big step in that direction.

Reworking Address Autofill

If you’ve ever wrestled with the Places API, you know the struggle. Address autofill was one of the features we really wanted to get right, but it wasn’t as smooth as we hoped in its initial form. After a lot of tweaking and reworking, we’ve implemented a new approach to address autofill that’s faster, simpler, and more reliable. This improvement is live now, and we’re excited for you to try it out.

Looking Ahead: User Flow and Checkout

We’re currently focusing on refining the user flow and preparing to enable the checkout process. This is a critical piece of the app, and we want to make sure it’s as smooth and secure as possible before rolling it out. Once that’s done, we’ll dive into fine-tuning the experience based on your feedback.

Our Public Launch Timeline

The big news: we’re aiming to launch the full Hello BUBS app for public use by Q1 2025! There’s still a lot to wrap up, but we’re incredibly excited to share this next chapter with you.

Your Feedback Matters

As we approach these milestones, we’re counting on you... our amazing beta program, to keep sharing your thoughts and experiences. What’s working? What feels clunky? What features would make your life easier? Your feedback is the foundation for everything we’re building, and we couldn’t do this without you.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re so grateful for your support, and we can’t wait to bring you the full Hello BUBS experience in the months ahead.

Stay tuned for more updates and keep those suggestions coming!

Regards,
Nino
