Two BUBS moms on sending their pandemic babies to kindergarten...  The letting go, and the hard first weeks From the BUBS community... These two stories were shared with us by moms in the BUBS community and published here with their permission. Their kids were born into the same strange year and are starting kindergarten now, one mom reflecting on the ache of letting go, the other on the tender, worrying first weeks when the friends haven't come yet. How’s the School Year Going So Far?

We’re already a couple of months into the school year, and it feels like time is flying by! How’s everyone adjusting to the new routines? Fall is a season of change in most of our lives, whether it's school starting for kids, or the beginning of seasonal activities.

How have your fall activities been?

If you have not gone for a walk in the fall air yet, pumpkin patches are always an autumn favorite, making it easy to get the whole family in on the fun. Something about strolling through rows of pumpkins with a steaming cup of apple cider and watching the kids find their perfect gourd, it's definitely one for the memories.

For those who love staying active, fall can also bring a whole new set of adventures. Whether it’s hiking through colorful forests, taking family bike rides on the weekend, or even setting up a cozy backyard fire pit for marshmallow roasting, there’s so much to enjoy.

What After-School or Weekend Activities Are Your Kids In?

With the new school year underway, kids are exploring the after-school and recreational or team programs. How about your little ones? Are they playing soccer, going to dance class, or trying something new like gymnastics or art?

It is a weekend of game days for some families, cheering from the sidelines as kids score goals or run across. Some might have dance recitals to go to or karate classes. And it is always awesome to see how these activities help children develop their self-confidence, meet new friends and have so much fun.
