Our Pandemic Babies Are Starting Kindergarten: Two Moms on Letting Go

Image
Two BUBS moms on sending their pandemic babies to kindergarten...  The letting go, and the hard first weeks From the BUBS community... These two stories were shared with us by moms in the BUBS community and published here with their permission. Their kids were born into the same strange year and are starting kindergarten now, one mom reflecting on the ache of letting go, the other on the tender, worrying first weeks when the friends haven't come yet. If you're somewhere in between, maybe their words will feel like yours too. Have a story you'd like to share? We'd love to hear it. I bought a backpack this week. A real one. Not the tiny toddler kind that holds a snack and a stuffed animal, but a big-kid backpack with a name tag pocket and straps I had to adjust down as far as they'd go. It's hanging by the door right now, waiting for the first day of kindergarten. And every time I walk past it, my chest does this funny thing...  part pride, part something I don...

Hello BUBS Update: The Journey to the App Store

I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about the journey we’ve been on to get Hello BUBS listed in the App Store. It’s been quite a ride, and I’m sure many of you can relate to the highs and lows that come with trying to launch something you truly believe in.

Striving for Perfection

Getting Hello BUBS ready for the App Store has been both exciting and mentally challenging. I’m someone who wants everything to be perfect for you all, and that’s a tough standard to meet. Every detail, every feature, every user experience needs to be just right. But, nothing is ever right...

The Mental Hurdle

There were days when I found myself overthinking every little aspect, wondering if it was ready, if it was good enough. This kind of self-doubt can be a real hurdle. I kept tweaking and refining, wanting the app to be flawless before even thinking about submitting it to the App Store.

Taking the Leap

But then, I realized something important: no product is ever truly perfect. The best way to improve Hello BUBS is to get it into the hands of you, our amazing community, and learn from your feedback. So, despite the mental tug-of-war, I took the leap and submitted the app for review.

Waiting for the Green Light

Now, we’re in the waiting game, hoping for the green light from the App Store. It’s a mix of excitement and nerves, but I know this is the next step. Your feedback will be invaluable in helping us shape Hello BUBS into the best platform it can be.

What’s Next?

Once we get the approval, it’s all systems go! Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Launching the app and gathering your feedback to make improvements.
  • Continuing to explore partnerships that will add even more value to Hello BUBS.
  • Building on the foundation we’ve set to create a community that supports each other in the journey of parenting.

Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate this process. It means the world to have such a supportive community backing Hello BUBS. I can’t wait to share the app with you all and start this next chapter together.
